Whats New and what is being added to the site!

Hello and Happy New Year to everyone. We are very excited about this new year! We have a number of exciting new products that we will be adding to the site. One of them is a line of indoor fireplaces from a company called Planika Fires. There are a number of products that they offer from small single “glass fires” to large floor and wall models. These items will be on line next week and available for immediate shipment.
We will also be adding Video to the blog. Our Mission is to give you – our customers-more information about the products and services that we offer at sophiesfurnishings.com This will include product demonstrations and assembly. Wouldn’t it be nice to see how a glider is assembled? or a fireplace is mounted on a wall? We will also have information from our various vendors to describe their products as only they can.

We will be adding a new category called “room in a box.” In this category we have worked closely with one of our vendors to design complete room packages. These room packages have been designed to coordinate the Upholstery, Tables, Lamps, Rug, Accessories, and Florals. Each room has been coordinated by a professional designer and will be available in a variety of prices and life-style settings ( Traditional, Casual, Contemporary.) So think “Garanimals” we have matched all the Giraffes!
The boss tells me that one of the single scariest things about decorating is making a mistake and buying something that just does not go with the other items. Although at the time you think is does but it in fact does not. Well the “room in a box” will relieve that stress and your house will become a home. The finishing touches are being put on the programming and the photography is being finalized. We will have the launch of room in a box before February. Oh and one more thing we will offer a swatch service free of charge. You will be able to order a fabric swatch so that you can see the material before you buy.

Vegas!! The Las Vegas Furniture Market

The boss is sending me to Las Vegas to visit with our current suppliers and scope out some new potential vendors. I will be taking my video camera so we will have reports from the show.
